Welcome to OB Diner

OB Diner sits on Richmond Ave in Point Pleasant and brings a classic diner feel that still works for breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night meals. I find the place easy to read from the street, with a familiar comfort that fits the Jersey Shore rhythm. The menu leans into American and Greek diner staples, and the price range keeps it in the local everyday zone, with many plates landing around $10 to $20.

The draw here comes from range and timing. I see breakfast plates with scrambled eggs, French toast, sausage, and corned beef hash next to burgers, paninis, turkey clubs, Greek-style options, and seafood dinners. That mix gives the diner broad appeal for families, beachgoers, shift workers, and anyone who wants a full plate after dark. The coffee, small plates, and comfort food fit the kind of stop people make on a routine basis.

Reviews point to friendly service, quick seating, and a steady kitchen. Guests mention a good sandwich, thick-cut fries, gravy, gyro plates, and turkey dishes with solid prep. The room has a classic diner look that some regulars notice right away, and that old-school feel gives the place a clear identity. It feels like part of the Point Pleasant dining map, with a no-fuss spirit and a menu that covers the bases.

If you want a local diner with long hours, kid-friendly seating, wheelchair access, and free parking, OB Diner checks the practical boxes. It works for a casual meal, a late bite, or a stop before or after time on the shore. That is the kind of place people tend to keep in their back pocket.

About

OB Diner stands at 1519 Richmond Ave in Point Pleasant, NJ, in a spot that fits easy road access and simple planning. I like that it offers dine-in, takeaway, and delivery, so it suits a sit-down meal or a pickup run after a busy day. The free parking lot and on-site parking help a lot, which matters in a beach-area town where finding a space can shape the whole outing.

The setting feels familiar from the first step in. It is a diner with a classic layout, seating for different meal times, and a clean service flow that suits families and solo diners. High chairs, a kids’ menu, and good-for-kids notes make it a practical choice for parents. The wheelchair-accessible entrance adds another useful layer for guests who need simple access.

OB Diner runs through the day and into late hours, which makes it useful for breakfast crowds, lunch breaks, dinner plans, and evening cravings. The place supports coffee runs, dessert stops, and full meals, so it covers more than one need on the same street. I see it as a community diner, the kind where local chatter, a short wait, and a full plate feel normal.

Payment is simple too, with debit cards, credit cards, and NFC mobile payments accepted. The room includes a toilet, table seating, and a casual pace that suits quick turnover and longer hangs. It feels like a dependable local stop, not a destination built on hype. That calm reliability has its own charm.

What People Say

Most Liked

People often praise the friendly staff, fast seating, and attentive service. A few reviews mention server names and strong follow-up at the table, which tells me the front-of-house makes a real mark. The breakfast plates get a lot of love, especially corned beef hash, French toast, scrambled eggs, and sausage.

The fries come up too, with thick-cut texture getting a solid nod. Sandwiches such as the Tuscan Chicken panini, turkey club, and corned beef plates keep regulars interested. The diner vibe and décor also get noticed, which fits the old-school feel many guests want from a place like this.

Most Disliked

The main concern I notice is staffing at busy times. A few guests say service can feel stretched on a packed Saturday, which can slow the pace of the meal. That is common in diners near shore traffic and brunch rushes.

Some reviews point to mixed expectations on certain plates or a letdown when a dish does not match the mood of the visit. In a diner menu this broad, that kind of split can happen. It helps to come in with a simple order and a clear idea of what style of diner food you want.

OB Diner never disappoints! I was greeted right away with a big smile and seated right away. My server was Jake, he checked back with me several times to make sure I had everything. He has a great personality for service & positivity. I got some yummy French toast & sausage. Thank you to the chef as well. I also love their deco. I will definitely be back and pass it along to friends!!

Gave this diner a try and we were not disappointed. Great spot for breakfast. Staff was friendly and attentive and the food was tasty and came out well prepped. Stop in when your staying in Point Pleasant Beach as a nice morning alternative the fried boardwalk food.

On a whim we decided to try the OB and I am so glad that we did! I ordered the Tuscan Chicken panini and requested a whole wheat wrap instead of the bread. What a delightful sandwich! Added bonus? Crunchy thick cut fries!!!
